Young Stock Show Report
Young Stock Show and AGM ,Saturday 27th September 2008
Judge: - Mr Barry Leatherdale
Entries were again down, although by only 18 birds, but with 188 still to judge Barry was keeped busy until around one O’clock. The Best Champion Lipochrome (Intensive Red Ivory Hen) and the Best Champion Melanin (Intensive Red Black Cobalt Cock) went to Simon Meridith, well done Simon. With only one Novice exhibitor both awards went to Robert Brett with a Mosaic Yellow Lipochrome and a Red Ivory Satinette. With two or three Novices now showing in the Champion classes and with very few Novices now showing how long will it be before we find ourselves with joint classes. Best Junior Exhibit went to our only Junior Exhibitor out of our six Junior members Miss Megan Coelho with an Int Red Clear Lipochrome Cock. Come on you Juniors lets see you at the Zone Show. We have 5 or 6 new adult members this year perhaps we can encourage them also to show at The Zone Show. Our thanks go to Barry for his time given freely to judge our birds. The AGM minutes will be in the Zones spring news letter.
2008 ZONE SHOW REPORT
All being considered a good entry of 310 birds contested the extensive specials list on offer at the E.A.Z. Zone Show on an excellent sunny day, the main winners were -:

The Show was enjoyed by all who showed there appreciation by helping the Show end in the black for the first time for as long as I can remember. My thanks go to all who helped on the day especially those present from other Zones.
